Reflections say nothing...[open]

[Nightberry]

The shadow black she-cat sat near the edge of the stream she had taken a drink at. Her shaky reflection below was blurry and depressed, making her slap it with her paw.

"Reflections only give away what is outside your heart...they never say what you really are though..."she mumbles,her head hung low.

[Lionstrike]

(O.O Lion hurt a she-cat??? Oh no! )

Lionstrike padded through camp, in a happy but sad mood. He was so confused and angry at himself. Why could he hurt a she-cat but love another? Why couldn't he love both of them and have the two share him equally? He wasn't quite sure, but he needed to fix it. He spotted the one she-cat that he really needed to talk to. "Hi...Nightberry." He spoke softly, wondering if the black and white she-cat was going to snap at him.

[Nightberry]

Her ears flatten as she sighs. "Hi Lionstrike...."she mews softly,her tail lashing as her paw was still wet.

[Lionstrike]

Lionstrike knew this was all his fault, he had hurt Nightberry. He didn't want it like this, he never did. "Nightberry...I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you, I-I do like you but it's....difficult." He looked down at the water, sighing.

[Nightberry]

"Its okay....its happened to me so many times before I stopped caring..."she mumbles,lashing her tail again. "I never really liked falling in love anyways...."

[Lionstrike]

Lionstrike flattened his ears at her words, they stung like fire on his fur. He shrunk back, eyes wide in shock. "Y-You love me?"

[Nightberry]

Nightberry hesitated,not knowing what words to choose from right now.

"Y-Yes....no....ugh...I...I don't know what I felt...I just felt...happy....there's nothing more to it...."she mumbles,curling her tail around her paws. "Its just hard for me to find a good tom with so little choices..."

[Lionstrike]

Lionstrike lifted his ears back up and continued to look at Nightberry. "I'm sorry, I wish I could love you both, but that would be impossible."

[Nightberry]

Nightberry held back a growl in her throat.

"Just love Breezefur....its obvious you two would make a better couple than with me involved....besides...she's a queen..."she spat out the word like poison, "SHe gets more opportunities than I do anyways..."

[Lionstrike]

Lionstrike felt like someone was slowly and painfully killing him on the inside. "It doesn't matter that she is a queen, Nightberry. You would be a good mother too, just as great as Breezefur." He softly smiled at Nightberry, hoping to make her feel a little better.

[Nightberry]

She shook her head. "I don't care anymore....I think I'll lay off love for a bit and just continue being a warrior like I should be...."she sighs,shuffling her paws.

"It seems like the right thing to do so I don't end up hurting..."

[Lionstrike]

Lionstrike softly sighed and stood up, he walked over to the sad she-cat and sat down next to her. "You'll find someone, Nightberry. Someone that won't break your heart like I did. I didn't mean for me to fall for two she-cats, it just happened." He explained to Nightberry.
