The night's rock [open]

[Nightberry]

The ebony black she-cat padded around the dim lit camp as she layed on the rock. It was cold and hard, much of what she was already used to. No one would talk to her this late.

[Longstripe]

longstripe stretched, padding out of his den. he soon spotted a white paw, and a white nose. he reckognized it as nightberry. "oh, hi nightberry," he purred, jumping up beside her on the rock.

[Nightberry]

She turned to look at him with a small yawn. She smiles.

"Oh...hi Longstripe..."she purrs. "Its a pretty night...don't you think...?"

[Longstripe]

longstripe modded, gazing at the stars. they twinkled above him, all his ancestors before him. he glanced at nightberry, realizing how pretty she was. "like you," he whispered quietly, looking at his gray paws.

[Nightberry]

Nightberry's fur got hot a bit as she catches the words. "T-Thank you...."she purrs,and smiles.

[Longstripe]

longstripe smiled, his ear tips growing warm. "your welcome," he purred, scooting closer so their pelts brushed. he returned his pale green eyes to the stars.

[Nightberry]

Nightberry couldn't help but purr as their pelts touched. He was so warm...it felt so nice on the cool almost damp rock. Her blue eyes shone with the stars as she stared up at them.

"These nights sure never get any prettier....I can't think of anything that would make the night more beautiful..."

[Longstripe]

longstripe shivered, scooting closer. "it sure is cold," he mewed. then listened to her comment, smiling, his furry tail flicking, his black and white whiskers twitching.

"you do," he purred.

[Nightberry]

Her ears lay back, hot from shyness. If cats could blush she'd be red.

"Thank you...I've never gotten so many compliments in one night...."she mews softly,brushing her tail by his.

[Longstripe]

longstripe grinned. "well, your fit to have a million," he purred, leaning his head against her shoulder, putting her tail ontop of his as hers brushed his. he licked her ear.

[Nightberry]

Well...she couldn't help but start purring out of this. She'd never felt so safe with someone this close. Was she falling for him...? She couldn't tell how wrong this was...or how right it could be...she just loved being so close to him.

She nuzzles underneath his chin as she without thinking, intertwines her tail with his. She lays her head on her paws with a soft smile on her face.

"Thank you...."she purrs, "Ya know...I'm starting to think I'm getting to my own deputy..."She trails off giggling.

[Longstripe]

longstripe purred harder as she twined his tail with hers. does she love me? i love her, he thought, a bit of worry piercing his heart. but he smiled, and leaned his head in closer. "right you are," he purred, a small laugh coming out from his jaws.

"nightberry…, i love you," he whispered in her ear, feeling her ear fur tickling his face.

[Nightberry]

Her fur raced up her spine as he said this, the familiarity of the tone made her shiver at those special three words. Her head lifted as she gazed up at him. She smiles softly.

"I couldn't believe it at first...but I do too..."she purrs,nuzzling him.

[Longstripe]

longstripe was afraid she'd say no. "good. i thought you'd say no," he purred, picking her cheek fiercely, his whiskers brush over her face.

[Nightberry]

She giggles softly,her smile large and true.

"It took you that long to tell me...? Goodness you're so bashful...~"she mewed,looking back up at him with love in her ice blue eyes.
