Amaranthkit's Ceremony

[Foxstar]

Foxstar trotted up to the Highledge and sat, looking out for a few moments. "All cats old enough to catch there prey gather under the Highledge." He called. He waited then continued on to the ceremony.

"By naming this apprentice, we show ThunderClan will survive and remain strong. Amaranthkit, from now on you will be known as Amaranthpaw.
Lionstrike, you are ready for an apprentice. You will be Amaranthpaw's mentor."

Amaranthpaw could feel her heart hammering in her chest and hear the blood roaring in her ears. She had a mentor! She was an apprentice! Well...she was the only apprentice, but hey- that's okay. She'd be the best there could be. So the silver tortoiseshell padded up to Lionstrike, touching her nose to his. I wonder when training will start.. She mused.

Lionstrike padded into the clearing when Foxstar called a clan meeting. His ears pricked up in surprise at his name being called for being a mentor to the new apprentice, Amaranthpaw. The orange tom padded over to the she-cat and touched noses with her, smiling. "Training will begin tomorrow at dawn. Be ready." He told his apprentice kindly.
