Mistflame laid outside the Nursery, grooming her ginger tabby pelt. A small purr escaped as warm sunlight beamed on her pelt. It was very relaxing and peaceful, she could lie there all day but she couldn't she had a son to look after, his name was Mousekit. She looked inside of the Nursery and found her little scrap of fur sleeping in her nest. She couldn't bear to tell him that his father was dead and has been a several moons now. The ginger she-cat stood up and lightly padded into the den, gently nudging Mousekit. She softly whispered to her son. "Mousekit, dear, it's time to wake up."

Mousekit was curled up in a tiny ball, and he hadn't even realized he had squirmed his way into his mother's nest. His small head on his tiny paws, his tail wrapped around him as he was in the deep trance of sleep. Then there was a nudge, he squirmed, hardly awake. "But Mama, I am tired." Mousekit moaned, covering his eyes with his paws. He honestly didn't really know what happened to his father, but he hated waking up. So the stubborn kit stayed where he was.

Mistflame started to lick Mousekit's head and then his body. "Why are you so tired?" She knew it was probably because of his small size that he got tired easier than other kits. She laid down beside her kit and curled her body around Mousekit's. "I wanted to play a game with you." She said between gentle licks.

Mousekit had always been a sleepy cat, liking to sleep for a long time. He didn't know. Mousekit yawned loudly. "I don't know." He said as he curled up back into a little brown striped ball. His mother licking him, until she stopped to mention games. His head lifted and all of the sudden energy seem to zap through his body. Mousekit loved games with all of his heart. "Games! Lets play, lets play!" Mousekit mewed as he ran in circles, then stopped to look at his mother.

Mistflame purred as Mousekit jumped awake from his sleepiness when she mentioned games. She stood up and found a feather nearby, she took the feather in her mouth and threw her head up, letting the feather go. "Get it, Mousekit!" She watched as the feather began to drop down lower towards the den floor.

Mousekit watched as his mother threw a feather up high in the air. Instantly he jumped, waving his paws, he was too small to reach it and sent it a little bit up. He landed and tumbled into his mother. "Sorry." He mewed as he recovered from his fall and jumped for the feather, his paws touching it fell to the ground from his weight. Mousekit landed on his back. The feather tickled his nose and he sneezed. Soon dropping the feather beside. "I did it!" He declared, making more circles.

Mistflame purred when Mousekit ran into her and said that he was sorry. "It's alright, little one." The ginger tabby she-cat smiled when her son finally got the feather. "Good job, Mousekit!" She took the feather and threw it up in the air again.

Mousekit waited, he waited for his mother to throw the feather back up. He was smiling as he was praised. Then the feather went back up and Mousekit waited and jumped up, hitting the feather, but falling and not grabbing the feather. Mousekit sneezed.
